ESCORTED ITINERARY

Day 1 London Gatwick/Varna scheduled flight DEP: SATURDAY
15.05/ARR: 20.30
Upon arrival at Varna our English speaking representative will collect you and transfer (1hr45mins) you to
your accommodation in Marinka he will give you a program and be happy to answer and questions you may have.
Day 2 Escorted tour to the beautiful seaside town of
Tsarevo exploring the shops and the rocky shoreline, we take lunch at a seaside restaurant. After lunch we drive down to the
stunning coast line of the village of Sinemorets. It features two beautiful beaches - one to the north, representing a pretty
wide strip of sand bordering the mouth of the Veleka river from one shore to the other and another one to the south stretching
between jutting rocks.
Day 3 Escorted tour to Velika and a visit to the Serafimovi
Botanical Gardens. The gardens are home to one of the world’s largest privately held collection of cacti, poppies and
endemic flora of the Strandja region. We will then travel south and then inland to the villages of Kosti, Balgari (a visit
to St. Constantine and Elena Church), Kondolovo and Gramatikovo. Each of these villages provide a unique perspective of architecture,
myth and history. Balgari with its fire dancers (first weekend in June) and Gramatikovo with it’s village architecture
and Thracian tombs.
Day 4 Escorted tour to the largest town in the Strandja
Mountains - Malko Tarnovo. Tour the Museum of history featuring a large collection, exhibited in 5 Strandja houses visit of
the "Assumption" church visit of the "Holy Trinity" church. Lunch. Tour of the Museum of Natural Sciences featuring a nice
collection of various items connected with the nature of Strandja mountain, presented in modern interactive way. Drink from
the water of the two healing springs "Golemia vris" and "Malkia vris". There are Thracian tombs in the Propada area - 4 km.
North-west of the town - and archeological and cultural monument.
Day 5 Escorted tour to Sozopol, spend the day in this
enchanting old fishing town with its traditional houses, quaint shops and superb restaurants not forgetting its stunning sandy
beach. We arrive in the morning and explore the old town, taking time to poke around the interesting shops and museums, We
then take lunch. After lunch you can stroll along the prom and take tea in one of the superb sea side bars or spend the afternoon
on the beach or the cool waters of the Black Sea.
Day 6 Escorted tour of the Ropotamo region of the Strandja
National Park, we will spend the morning exploring the countryside and river bank with its wealth of flora and wildlife. Then
after a sumptuous packed lunch in the cool shade of the tree. After Lunch we will board one of the tour boats for a leisurely
cruise along the river.
Day 7 Escorted village tour The Petrova Niva historical
area - located 14 km. off the village of Zvezdets.
The Mishkova Niva historical area - a unique ancient Thracian archeological village. A memorial to those who
died in the Preobrazhensko rebellion in 1903; museum collection. Village of Brashlyan with its Architectural and historical
reserve. Here you can enjoy well preserved Strandzha houses of the 18th and 19th centuries, declared national monuments, old
church of Saint Dimitar - built in the late 17th century with a church school - an architectural monument.
Day 8 Leisurely Breakfast at the Lodge, then full day
excursion to Bourgas shopping and sightseeing including lunch. Return to Marinka to prepare to leave for the airport.
